I had a similar experience when I got my two baby male gliders, only my formula recipe was milk an egg and honey.Mine wouldn't eat either and a friend of mine out in Texas who is a breeder recommended I feed powdered puppy milk replacement with baby cereal. i mixed one scoop of milk replacement with 3 scoops water and added the baby cereal until it wasn't real runny but would go up the dropper.Needless to say, they happily ate this. As they were eating better, I gradually introduced warmed Leadbeater's along with the cereal. Also, although the breeder told me to feed twice a day, this wasn't enough for them and I was feeding three times a day.I've had my babies since march and they still like to have a snack before their main feeding in the evening. They are doing great and had them to the vet with all that I was doing and was told to keep up the good work.I hope this helps you out.----------: I recently purchased a baby sugar glider. Was raised in the country...around "wild" animals all my life...but for some reason when I saw baby sugar gliders and was told that I would need to feed a new baby with an eye dropper, it didn't even click in my head how young the baby must be. duh! Anyway.....I have a new sugar glider, I was told she is only about 5 weeks old. So I am feeding her a formula I make up from a recipe given to me by the breeder. It consists of 2 oz of water, 1 scoop of dry "soy" baby formula, 1 tsp of honey and 3 drops of Vita Sol vitamins with iron. My concern is that she now has diarrhea. When I first brought her home, her stools were similar in appearance to rabbit food pellets. Now she has nothing but wet stools. My first thought was that it was the formula and I need to change something. But as i was looking around on the internet, I came across something about a possible parasite causing diarrhea. Please give me some advice on what steps I should take. My cute little baby needs some help. Thanks. Also, if people would let me know if this is "unheard of" to sell sugar gliders at this age. A friend saw my sugar glider and went to the same place I did and said the lady was so nasty about all the animals she had, she just kind of tossed them around and didn't seem to be an "animal person." I hadn't bought from her, but from someone that supplies her with birds and was there at the shop. I eagerly await repies! Thanks for any and all help you can give me! Sandy
