If the her Mother is rejecting her, it sounds like she is orphaned and now needs to be dependant on you. If your Mother could take her to work and feed her during the day that would be great. The little one just needs lots of love and attention. Have you started to feed her any plain yogurt yet? She has made it this far, I think she will make it, just give her constant attention, carry her around in a pocket or pouch at all times. Let her get her sleep though, don't wake her up during the day to feed her, wait until she wakes up on her own (during the day). I don't know, that's just an idea. I feel so sorry for her, I want to help, but don't know how. I'm happy the others are comming along. Thanks for the update, : Hi everyone... : just wanted to update those of you who have been so caring and helpful. I am still supplimenting these little girls, although one alot more then the other... one of them is doing MUCH better, she's almost always nursing on mom or clinging to mom... her eyes are bright and shes getting bigger... my other little one is heartbreaking. She is still smaller, her eyes rarely ever even open, she has to be washed daily because any milk that falls on her she doesn't clean off and neither does mom, the past 4 days I haven't seen her with mom at all, infact she is usually laying alone outside of the pouch either on the heating pad itself or off to the side, she has gotten bigger and stronger but she doesn't seem well... mom wont have anything to do with her, just walks away or the baby does, the little girl also doesn't even attempt to nurse from mom... she is eating well every couple hours when I feed her but I dont know what else I should do... during the days when we're all at work she isn't fed for about 5 hours, do you think we should seperate her during the day ( my mother can take her to work with her and feed her every hour or two ) or do you think she can go that long w/o... I do get up every two hours through the night to feed her ( I work at a mental hospital, up at 5:30am boy the patients wonder why I'm so tired/crabby LOL ) but the little one has made it almost 3 wks now... I can't let her die after comming so far! I also just recently went from straight puppy milk to adding alittle water ( I was using premixed, somewhat thick ) and baby cereal... any further advice? : thank you.... ps.. the other mothers two girls are doing GREAT, they are sooo adorable and so big already that it amazes me they aren't even 3 wks OOP! : Sincerely,
