We have a 2'X 2'X 6' cage we made it with have only a pair in mind. Then when the first joeys came out of pouch we realized how small the cage really was. The thing that Michelle was talking about with our "heated debate" was how much space the gliders actually use in the cage. I don't have floor gliders , my gliders don't like the floor or the bottom of the cage. so the bottom foot or so isn't used at all. A friend told me to make a smaller cage and quit wasting space , but if I did make the new cage only 5' high then that would give them only 4 ft or less to play in. So when we discussed the new cage for "the family" We decided to give them even more room to play in I believe that they need plenty of room in case they want to play chase , they need that room for escape.. If you have ever watch your glider at night run throughout your cage.. then multiply that imes 4. you will see that it does get crowded , I see that with a 6' cage. The choice is yours, you will know what your gliders need..
