Hi...I went on a 10 day vacation just 2 weeks after getting Willow. She was just 6 weeks oop. We traveled by day and she slept in her pouch. At night I had her bed and small cage with us. I let her out at night to play with the cage door open. She would be in there when I got up. I am a night owl so we played a lot before I slept. She being a baby slept quite a bit and didn't go far from me. I think it was the best for the bonding between us. I didn't want her to bond to a stranger while I was gone, that being the reason to take her with me. I am so glad I did.

I did make sure that each hotel room was glider safe..if there was a slight concern at all I would put cage and her in the bathroom. Or not let her out unless I was there to supervise. I hated to have her cooped up any longer than I had to. We sure did bond during the time together and she showed no signs of stress.

I would say in my opinion...whatever that is worth..hehehe..that your pal will be much better off with you than with strangers and a strange place. At least this way she might be in the strange place but you will be with her!

Goodluck and have a great vacation!!

: I have been planning a vacation from Ohio to NC for about 6 months. I had someone lined up to watch my glider, but they moved to boston. Now, with less than two weeks until I leave for vacation, I have no one. I have tried everyone I can think of, but nothing.

: My question is, if all else fails, would it be a bad idea to take him with me. All travel would be during the day so he would be asleep. I am not worried about him being there, but only the drive down (about 9 hrs). Does anyone have any comments on him going, or any ideas as to where I might leave him?

: Thanks
