Subject: Rescued male glider needs home plus baby female glider Posted by Heather on May 31, 1999 at 09:55:51:
WOW! I haven't been on in awhile but it looks like everyone here has been busy answering questions about gliders. I rescued a glider from the Humane Society about 3 weeks ago. An "animal collector" relinquished about 50 different exotic mammals, reptiles, and birds that they didn't want anymore. The glider is an unneutered male, about 1 - 1 1/2 years old. He is actually in very good shape and has been socialized. Doesn't bite, but does do some crabbing. Does like to run all over me and get in my shirt. If anyone in the Chicago, Indianapolis, or St Louis area would like to adopt him, please e-mail me. I am in Bloomington, IL (about 2 hours from all these places). Adoption fee is $50. I would like him to go to an experienced glider owner. He has a rough enough start and needs a good stable home. I also have my very last baby glider almost ready to go. She is a female, 5 weeks OOP. All my male gliders are neutered and this was an OOPSY breeding just a few days prior to the neutering. She is an absolute angel, doesn't even crab. Has been handled since 1 day OOP. Has another week or so of weaning. Let me know if anyone is interested. This is my very last baby glider, so she is special and has to go to a special home!
