Hey there Brandi,

About the neutering, I had my first glider neutered about a week after purchase, he was probably 6 or 8 weeks oop at the time. This had no effect on him. He was just as sweet and loveable as my current glider, allthough, Gizmo (current) is not as skittish as Milo was. Gizmo seems more trusting (maybe it is because I did not have his jewels taken away LOL) but this could just be the difference in their personalities, having nothing to do with neutering. As far as the cost, it was included in the price of purchase. If you take yours to be neutered, it is such a simple process (they did it in front of me and it took about 2 minuites - most of the time being holding him down without hurting him) that it should not cost more than $10.00 I'd imagine. All they do is pin him down, snip his little jewels, apply a disinfectent and he's done.

Once I have a glider family, I am going to have Gizmo neutered and any boy joeys they may have. I really don't think this will affect his personality, I hope not anyway. I have read before that it really does not change their personality, maybe someone else out there has a different story?

Hope this helps,
Cheri and Gizmo ~Q>
: I just introduced my male and female gliders for the first time.
: They didn't fight or crab, they just kind of grabbed at each
: other and wrestled around together. They didn't seem to be hurting
: each other. Is that normal? They didn't run and play together at
: all. They are still staying in separate cages, but they get play time
: together. How long should I wait before I put them together?
: Also, those of you who have had a male neutered how much did
: it cost? How hard was it on your glider? I want a couple of
: babies, but I don't want a herd! Ha ha! If you could answer any
: of my questions please let me know!

: Thanks,
: Brandi
