Jason, It is nice to hear that you are interested in sugar gliders. I am in TX so I can not
help you obtain one, But I'd like to give a little advice.

It is extreamly rare to find a glider that is fully "tame"
at 8 mo. They can be weened at 6 mo. out of the pouch, but
the few months you have with them is not enought to get them ready for strangers.

You will have to remmember, this is a scary experience. Leaving your home, parrents, and the first humans
you trust.

Try to find a local breeder so your new pet is not tramatized by the shipping
experience. Car rides don't seem to affect my babys. But they are safe in a pouch
and close to me.

Tweak, my boy glider is socializing now. he has matured very fast and has eaten from my hand since the 2nd day
I had him. However, Cloie is not fond of other people (much less me.) She has just learned I will not hurt her and
has stopped biting me. So, socializtion skills will depend on your pets personality and the bond of trust you
develop with him/her.

When your pets start to socialize with your friends, be sure to warn them of
possible problems such as biting and the potty training problem. Make sure they are aware
not to sit on them of leave dangerouse things in reach of them.

Well, you know the drill by now.
