: Our oldest male used to be a sweet little darling, then puberty hit, now he's just like Taz, but we certainly didnt give him away. I took on the responsibility of this animal and thus any temperment trouble attached -- we just make accmodations. Mind now, learning what accomodations (precautions to avoid getting damaged)has taken some time, but things are better now.

For a awhile, it was REALLY bad, especially after we got another male (who is by the way in a seperate cage in a seperate room, and they N E V E R come into contact with each other). Busy was biting for ZERO reason other than to be an ass.

We considered having him fixed, but I dont think that would have solved Busy's attitude problem -- it is a part of him. Busy has had a mate for most of his short life (he's a year and a half old), and he bullies her as much as he does us. But she gives as good as she gets (usually she just sits on him -- she's HUGE -- and he'll go find something else to mess with).

You should consider PERMANENTLY seperating Taz and the other and getting them fixed anyway. --

In the meantime, to avoid nasty Taz attacks, ALWAYS wash up before handling him -- Also NOTE: a bit of nicley scented handcreme after you wash seems to confuse the aggressive monsters.

If you keep both, get each a female for company.
