Diarrea, is usually, caused when new food are introduced and the glider's system is adjusting to it. You may want to try some plain yogurt to help bind him up. I am not a big advocate of cat food. If you are using kitten food just make sure that it is a high grad like Iams. I don't like to use it because of all the controversy surrounding it, that it may cause digestion problems and blockages.

As to the soar, I would try and get it to a vet. If there is an open soar, you can try ti use bag balm, which is a salve, that you can purchase at a local wal-mart(pet aisle) or drug store. It comes in a green tin. When Rome had a soar on his foot, I used it and he healed up very quickly. He also used to lick at it alot and and make sharp psst. sounds.

Hope this helps you through the weekend.

: Over Christmas, Eos burned a foot...the doctor, who has worked a great deal w/ gliders (he's in Austin, TX) gave her Bactrin or Baytril or something with a similar name. It is an antibiotic not approved for human use in the US, and it is imported for animals from Mexico. I'm not sure what the dosage was, but he injected the first dose and I gave it to her orally via syringe after that. It might have been .05 ml? Anyway, he cautioned against Neosporin or anything she would lick off and ingest. It was really traumatic to see her hurt. Good luck to you!

: : The friends I gave my twins to has a problem with one. He has a swollen foot and can't seem to use the big toe. We called the vet which was just running out the door for the weekend and he ruled out the hind leg paralysis and said to soak the foot in epsons salts. He also said there was no natural anti-biotic I could give him. Seems to me there is something I could do besides soaking. He is not eating well since last night either.
: : Please come back with some suggestions! Thanks!!!
