Subject: Advice about breeding and pairing Posted by Dave on June 08, 1999 at 12:30:16: I have two 6-7 month old males and two 11 month old females. They are in separate cages and rooms by sex. One of the males, Taz, has his bald spot/ scent glands and is getting very aggressive. The other male, Ozzie, is starting to show maturity also but is still sweet and calm. The males cohabitat well but Taz goes after us hu-mans and bites hard, drawing blood. Questions are: Will Taz calm down after awhile, it's being like this since early April? Can I neuter Taz and put all 4 in one cage after a proper intro period? That way I have one male mating to both females if desired, but will Taz kill Ozzie's joeys? Is it better to cage them by mixed pairs even though they have exited by same sex pairs. Thanks for any help.
