It is not your fault that this happened. I know it will take a long time to get over...I can't imagine losing Eos. Next, maybe there is lesson to be learned here? I'm not sure how to deal with it, but this is the third person I know of whose glider has died while it was in someone's care who was a trusted friend (in two cases, family members). I don't know what the answer is...maybe there is a market for glider boarding? At this point, I would not trust my glider to anyone who does not have a well-cared for one of their own. I think only owners/breeders really know what to look for as signs of illness and trouble. Maybe a vet would do a good job of boarding, if they knew about gliders? My sister has left hers with me several times, and I've had to hand feed it after she's gone awhile because it grieves and stops eating on its own. Also, if you are leaving your glider somewhere, it might help to get a scented cloth ahead of time with that person's smell and put it in the cage. When you leave, put one scented with YOUR smell in there. I don't know...I wish there was a solution. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Tiffany : Over the weekend I went up to my grandparents house. The glidersitters left, and when we got home, he had choked to death on something.
