getting a flying squirrel at one week old is crazy, as they are not yet weaned. i wean my squirrels at eight weeks of age, but they are handled at one week of age, so they can get used to people. they are also illegal in california.

: I dont know about flying squirrels in California, but I'm buying a new born for 175$ I live in Texas, areas outside of Houston, you must keep them in a pocket close to your heart from the 1rst six weeks of their birth, they're nocturnal and if you bring them in brodd daylight they'll claw you like crazy, they're very sensative.You must have at least 6 by 6ft area to live in.They need to climb, like fresh fruit, and might not like you and may be scared of you unless you get them at least 1 week old.Well!
