That's a very good idea! When I needed to be away from home for a couple of months, I asked the vet if he knew of anyone in the area that might interested in glider sitting.
He could only refer me to one person, she was happy to work something out with me. I would have never found this person if it weren't for the vet. A person wanting to do this sort of thing could have "Exotic Pet Sitter" business cards made up and placed in vet office lobbys and pet stores.
I missed my little ones so much and was relieved to find them just as I left them when I got back.
