Matt, I have a female and she is as sweet as they come, and she doesn't smell a bit. I had read on different sugar glider pages that males are much nicer than females. Which just isn't so. They all have their own little personalities just like you or I. As for males, well my mom has a male, and he's a sweetie too, and so far does not smell yet that I know of. I've also heard that the smell is different to everyone, meaning it bothers some and doesn't others. And if you get a male that smells, I've heard the nutering helps a great deal. I think when chooseing a glider it's up to your own judgement or what you you really want.
