I'm no expert on gliders, but I had galvinized wire on my aviary. In spite of supposedly 'detoxifying" the wire with a vinegar wask, I still had a residue come off on my hands. Cynthia sent me a link to Klubertanz at klubertanz@ticon.net where I decided to order 30" pvc coated wire (1/2" X 1"). You can have it cut up to 48" & still be shippable UPS PLUS the panels are flattened. I decided not to take the risk with my old wire, read somewhere the acid in my gliders' yummies could leach out even more of the lead over time.
