You may already be aware of this but a nest box(large enough to get your hand in)should be installed in the top of the cage.They also like a piece of cloth to hide in. I have found that a large piece of denim from a pair of old jeans works best because their claws don't get caught in it.Another note about the new cage your dad is building: one inch x one half inch welded wire works best for climbing purposes.One last thing - Glidervit will prevent back leg paralysis if sprinkled over their fresh fruit or baby food applesauce 3 or 4 times a week.
