My girlfriend has a glider that had to be taken to a vet due to a growth. The vet said it was an abscess that needed to be removed but when the skin was cut during surgery a wormlike creature emerged. This thing was alive and was about an inch or so in length and fat, about the size of a grubworm, it didn't have anything that looked like a head or tail. Any ideas about what this creature is? The vet didn't even know what it was or what caused it. Any info would be helpful.
