as well as uping the calcium and proteins. things everyone needs to keep in mind.. If they are young (under the age of 2 years. Many younger but it is still a good rule of thumb.. The first time they become pregnant may not alway stay in the pouch for various reasons. Mind you this is not always, but sometimes for unknown reasons the female may not carry the joey all the way through. I remember when Baybe and Smokey first consumated..I was a nervous wreck I would see lumps, then I wouldn't It was literally driving me nuts, as to if we were ever going to see joeys. we went through this for almost 5 more months.. Then I actually got to see the birthing. I didn't do anything different.. But this time she carried them all the way through. I have seen others here who have experienced the same things. So maybe Baybe just wasn't ready for motherhood for one reason or another. Maybe she wasn't "full grown" inside of her sweet little body.. Maybe Smokey was still too young and his trys , as honest as they were, just were not ready for the real thing.. who knows.. but if you give them a good solid diet of 33-50 % proteins and a good balance on their calcium/phosphorus levels, then no matter when they have them, they should be okay. I noticed mine craved more proteins when she was pregnant.. Good Luck and don't fret..
