I noticed that when I took my SG, Pookie, outside and I noticed some peculiar behavior. Immediately, she started licking her hands and washing her face with saliva. After a little while, her face was so soaked that it looked as if she just got her head dunked in water. I guess she performed the behavior in order to keep cool. So my opinion would be that anything over 90 degrees would be too hot for comfort. I always keep in mind that if I'm not comfortable than my glider is also not comfortable. Just a little rule of thumb that I use. Austin, TX, glider, : I have a large glider cage that I would like to keep outside on my covered back porch. I dont know if it gets too hot here in central Texas, to keep them outside. How hot is too hot?
