I also have a dog with seizures and have a wonderful vet who did alot of research for me. We found that phenobarb alone only kept the seizures to once or twice a week, but if we also used potassium bromide we were able to lower the pheno from 11 twice a day to 2 twice a day and he hasn't had a seizure in over 8 months. Looking for a vet that understands what's going on with him. Our current vet just keeps prescribing drugs that keep him zoned out, but still seizes at least once a week.
