: I have a problem. I ordered a free sample of Brisky's and have gently weaned Foster away from fruits, veggies, and other foods. He has been on pure Brisky's for the last 2 days. Since that time, he has been chewing and licking everything, as if I haven't fed him. He likes the Brisky's, and there is always some left, so I know I'm not underfeeding him. He has been extremely hyper since eating the Brisky's, and I can't calm him down.
: All I can think is that maybe it has something to do with the 3 crickets and a moth I gave him within the few days before he started eating the Brisky's. He hadn't had insects before then, and he had one every night for four days before I weaned him on to the Brisky's. Any suggestions? He is also trying desperately to get into my mouth. he has always licked, but now he will scratch and tear at my lips and try to pry them and my teeth open to get inside. What's going on with my little one?

: Thanks for any advice,
: Kim

Kim, I,too, tried to switch my gliders to Brisky's. It is a pain in the buttoski some nights to chop and dice and slice or even to try to think what you can fix different each night. I noticed changes in my gliders much like what you have stated. Also, one of my 5 month olds began to stare off into space for long periods and became listless. Here is my theory on feeding any kind of pellets.
If I were captured by giants and put into a cage of sorts, I would grow dispondent. One of my greatest joys would become eating IF I was fed a variety of foods. If I was fed the same thing, day in and day out - what would there be to look forward to?
When i quit the Brisky's my gliders almost cried with glee. The ran to the plate and grabbed handfuls of fresh veggies to eat as they hung upside down. I cannot do the Brisky's thing.
Others have had great success, or so I have read. I personally, shutter to think I put my gliders through 10 days of nothing but pellets.
Betsy
