Ok. Well said Bourbon. as many people know I have been researching for many months now. I just want to say it has helped me in understanding these unique creatures alot!!! The thing that has helped me out the most is just being on these message boards. here's why.
First of all, you get to know all the problems that people go through with their gliders without actually having one yourself. (I know it's not nice to see other people having trouble, but it is sure a learning experience for the non-owners). It gives a view of how time consuming nad expensive owning a glider can be. reading the messages here also give good information to know when buying your gliders too so you don't get taken. Their are many important things that I now know to look for when buying my glider. Tail fluffed, eyes clear and black, eating on it's own, ect.... I just feel if anything has helped me the most it has been these lists.
If you are new here and want a glider, please like Bourbon says, RESEARCH first. If you can research for 3 or more months, find out everything you can about a glider, and after that time still want one as bad, then maybe you are ready to own one.
That was a cute thing about pretending you already have one Bourbon. I have gotton into the going to bed around 1 AM routine. Since I have not seen any gliders in the local pet shops, I have resoted to holding baby prarie dogs. I did let the guy explore and BITE me. Didn't back away and the little stinker even drew blood. It is a good learning experience though. well enough rambling
