: 1. first how many glider do you have in the cage? ***** 2 gliders and sometimes their babies in a 2' X 2' X 6' cage, we have already started building their new home of 6' X 6' X 30" ***** : 2. What do you use for them to sleep in. A pouch, nestbox, or a combination of both? ***** We now use a pouch when they are not useing our pockets, we tried the nestbox thing but we decided to use our pocket tee shirts for the first couple of months, then we went to the pouch. She was too protective over the nestbox, too much crabbing seeing a big hand come at her was just too much for her. ***** : 3. How bonded to you are your gliders. I know this is a broad question but for instance. Does yours come out of it's sleeping area when you go to get it? Do they bite you when you come to get them? Do they like staying on you (most of the time, I understand they don't during playtime)? stuff like that. ***** VERY, bonded, just when I think she couldn't get anymore bonded to me she will surprise me by doing something special. She prefers being with me, rather than play or being with her mate..(maybe she is just a 90's gal) ***** : 4. Do you leave something with your scent on it where your glider sleeps? ***** Not as much any more, I do throw my cover shirt over the cage once in a while, They love stinky and nasty, They spend more time around my shirt after I have worked hard in the sun.. (Maybe it makes them think that i am actually in the cage with them) ***** : 5. One that I just want to see on. Does your glider use a hamster ball? Do they like it? Or do they have another toy that they like alot? ***** Don't use the hampster ball, I am afraid of them getting their nails caught in the little slits in it. They do however have a Wodent Wheel that they truely love, and they have plenty of places to play in the living room, which is gliderproofed..It was setup for them before any of our furniture was placed. It is actually their room. ***** : Ok, the point of this survey. I have been wanting to know if a glider will become more bonded if sleeping in a pouch rather than a nestbox or combination of both. I have heard that sometimes gliders become possesive of their nestbox and then don't like coming out much or bite alot when trying to get them. Just wanted to base my cage design on what I get for answers. i only want the best for my 2, but anything to help me bond with them more easily would be a plus! thanks for your time and info. : Tim ***** Tim you will do just fine, I wish everyone looking to get a glider would follow your example, My hats off to you..and I don't remove it for just anyone.. Good Luck Living, Loving, Gliding with my gliders..
