Divorce is getting to be a major problem in our society and kids are usually caught in the middle. But no soap box here. You could move the glider into your Mom's location but you stated that's not a possibility right now. What is someone doing for the glider at your Dad's location? Is it being played with, let out, touched, bonded OR is he just being fed and watered? If there is no interaction, the only fair choice for your critter is to find it a home. If you are close to being of age to move out, it could be a temporary home with a friend/family member and you can visit each day to bond/play. If no one is available, this situation is not right for the glider and a good permanent home MIGHT be the only answer. I don't want to be mean and insensitive but sometimes letting go is the only loving thing to do. Seeing an animal who needs daily interaction on 2/14 days is not fair, it might even be considered cruel. Best of luck. BTW, another option is to get Basil a friend to keep him company while you are gone. You might lose his bonding to you since you won't be as important anymore. Just a thought.
