I got the finger puppet at the Nature Company. They used to sell single ones, but now they come in a cloth box which is a hand puppet and you open it up and there are three attatched mouse finger puppets inside. I just detatched one for play, and sometimes my gliders sleep in the box with the other puppets. The single mouse was about $3.50 and the hand-puppet box of 3 was $9. The finger puppet mice are just fuzzy stuffed animal cloth, made into a mouse shape with suede ears, tail, and feet. and embroidered eyes and nose. It had plastic whiskers that my gliders promptly pulled off. I've found that my gliders like very small stuffed animals-they have a hedgehog that is just a bit bigger than them and round, so they try wrapping themselves areound it and roll around. They do bite the stuffed animals a lot in play, but they don't cause any damage to it, so they are not injesting anything harmful to them. I got the first mouse finger puppet when I only had a single glider. She loved it so much, and held onto it for dear life-we actually decided to get her another glider because of the way she treated the puppet. It was her snuggle partner and playmate. She curls up with it still and puts her nose in the finger opening, its really darling. Maybe all single gliders need one! Most of the tiffs between my two gliders are about who is going to hold brown mouse.
