The adults would need a glider educated care giver to be able to successfully produce your baby. Unless BY CHANCE you get a good breeding pair and everything BY CHANCE goes right for them......but of course, it can be done.
Adults from a pet store aren't (usually) "bondable" pets, but will become great pets. An adultlike that would definately need a cage mate for its companion.
If you're looking for a pet you'll spend time with every day, you need to consider that you MUST have the time. It's a pet that may live 12 years or so and needs companionship. If you want a pet you might leave in its cage day in and day out, then the pair may be the better choice.
It would be advisable to keep the parents, or at least one of them (same sex), if they did reproduce. There would more than likely be times you might need to leave your treasured joey to go away for a weekend, it would have some companionship.
