Never scold even after a bite or food bowl dumping. Get or make a pouch that you can get your hand into easily. I took the arm of a sweatshirt and bound the small end closed, they seem to love it. Once you have a pouch, use it to bond, let Smiles "sleep" with your hand by placing it in with him while you watch TV. Have him with you at all times or as much as possible. Carry him between 2 shirts or in a pocket that snaps. I think we used the pouch to much while carrying ours, I would recommend taking him out to carry him during the day, it's more personal and it forces you to handle him. Try to show no fear of the cabbing and biting if there is any. It doesn't hurt and they tire of it if it doesn't work (get you to back off).
