Thanks Kim, but the vet that I was taking my gliders to has neutered two of them for me. He also will consult with other unsure vets about neutering gliders. He's great at that.
He told me one of my twins might have a bacterial infection and gave me meds to give her without running a bacterial culture. The meds kill all bacteria including good bacteria. So, just to be safe I took a stool sample to my dog vet, she found no bacteria in either twin's stool sample. Since then, I have learned that two other people had their pets put on the same medicine for a similar reason, by the same vet and were also not pleased with the reasoning. One of them had a lizard and the other had a cockatiel. The lizard died and the cockatiel owner has switched vets.
Most vets don't know much more than we do about gliders. Thank heaven's their reproductive organs are fairly straightforward!
Thanks again for the offer!
