If you are in Utah you also need to get a license, to even have gliders, and are not allowed males unless neutered. But it is perfectly safe to ship through an airline that has climated cargo holds. That is very expensive though I had to pay $96.95 to get my 3 gliders that way. But they arrived, healthy and crabby.
