This is also a sore spot with me. Before I got my first glider, I wrote to folks who had glider pages and said "I have heard all the great things about owning a glider. What is the downside?" Do you know that none of those people were honest with me? They all said that there was NO downside. I still fume when I think about it. Any animal, especially one that may like for 15 years, is a huge commitment.
Anyone who thinks otherwise is a fool. Before you get a cat, dog, glider, bird, iguana, ferret, etc. DO YOUR HOMEWORK!
DO NOT BUY ON IMPULSE!
There are no people in my circle of friends, relatives or aquaintences that I feel would make good glider owners.
