I've heard of this happening to people who even had babies that were bonded, then had to leave and the glider got mad. I think keep doing what you were doing that worked, and be patient. Obviously you had a bond before you left, so you know it can be done. Also, people have said blowing on gliders is a gentle way of reminding them not to bite. Someone else hisses at them, so maybe try those things. Also, don't react when it bites, because then the SG knows how to get you to leave her alone. Please don't give up! Your baby will come around...
The best web page I know about bonding is at this address (I can't get the link to work.) WWW.Flash.net\~pets I had great luck with it. Don't know about older gliders, but it's worth a try...

: Okay here is my story. I am an experienced Herp keeper. One day I decided
: to try my hand at a furry exotic instead of a scaly one. A good friend
: had a glider and he loved it. I did some research and liked what i saw.
: well this friend got me a glider. When I got him he was a little older
: than what I have found out is good for bonding. Point is I love my little
: guy but am having problems bonding. I was making progress when an
: unexpected trip came up and I had to leave for four days. Now it
: seems we are back to square one. And he bites. draws blood. This is not good.
: Any advice would be helped. Flames and rants will be ignored. I am not
: making excuses or apologies i simply want to correct a few honest
: mistakes and bad circumstances. Thank you for you time.
