Message: I have read alot of conflicting experiences where some people have had no problem placing two females together and others say that the older female attacks. Well, let Bonita (4mo. old female) out of her cage and she crawled onto Loco's cage (2mo. old male). They seemed taken with each other instantly and were trying to lick each other through the cage. So, I opened the door to Loco's cage and Bonita crawled in and they were instant friends. Then a couple of days later I put Charla (1 1/2 mo. old female) in a brand new cage and let her run around in it for a couple of hours. Meanwhile, Bonita and Loco were running around my office. Bonita finally jumped onto the new cage and was "checking out" Charla. They didn't seem aggressive towards each other. I opened the door and let Bonita in the cage. She ate some food (all the while Charla was cramming herself into the highest spot of the cage she could find and wouldn't take her eyes off of Bonita), then Bonita saw Charla and took off after her! She chased her, biting her and throwing a fit! Little Charla was flinging herself all over the cage, scared to death! I had an awful time trying to catch her and when I finally did, she bit the "tar" out of me and peed on me. But, I got her out and carried her around in my shirt the rest of the evening. She was soooo upset. Now what do I do? I have kept the two cages side-by-side since then. That has been over a month ago. I really want all three of them to live together. Is it possible now? I am terrified about trying to get them together again. Any suggestions? Your help and ideas are much appreciated!! Tanya
