This advice comes from Linda Watkins...

We have found that a baby born without the black tip on his/her tail is doomed to cataracts if fresh carrot juice cut in half with
water isn't given everyday to him/her and the parents. This is given from the time he/she is born through at least a month after
weaning. Simply feeding carrot juice will keep the light tailed baby from developing cataracts and from being blind for life.
Once blind there seems to be no recovery of sight. We try to give all our gliders carrot juice weekly as a preventive. White tailed
animals do not produce white tailed offspring or great offspring. Pairs who produce white tailed offspring don't again, if given
carrot juice on a regular basis. We have not a scientific clue what the connection is between light tails and cataracts, but there is
no doubt that there is one. Eventually a vet/scientist will get a grant and figure it out. In the meantime give them carrot juice.

Also, I read somewhere that too many nuts in the diet and the oil from them can cause cataracts... Send me your diet info...
