: Hi Everyone! : I was just wondering what everyone that owns a sugarglider, use for a nest box. This is just to satisfy my curiousity and idea about a new nest box. : Thanks in advance. It's going to be interesting to find out. Hey. :)
We give our glider a couple of places to sleep. One is a small tupperware container with a small hole big enough for the glider to fit through on the lid. The rest of the container is covered by a very stretched sock and there's little cut up sock bits on the inside. It's quite roomy and dark for her, she seems to enjoy it. :) The other is a little pouch I put together using a pair of old sweatpants, hung from the top of the cage. It's really cozy, small, and warm in there, so every couple of days she'll climb in there instead of the box. I heard that wooden nesting boxes aren't very good for gliders, since they will pee on 'em and the wood will absorb it, so we stuck with easy-cleaning items. :) Michelle.
