I used a pocket tee in the cage each night I exchanged it with the one I wore that day.. I did this during the bonding process. after we bonded real well and she stayed in my pocket tee i was wearing all day I replaced the pocket tee in the cage with a ferret pouch (we have 2). The ferret pouch we hang on their door so when we open the door to the cage i am able to look in on them or pet them, without startling them. also the pouch made it easier to clean and to get them out.
