Eucalyptus is what the pet stores sell for cages, and at quite the price. We have a tree we cut branches from to put in all of our cages, they especially like the little branchy pieces. They love to play in the leaves too. I also save dried leaves for cage litter and they also like the leaves in their beds. I know of someone who uses mulberry branches too. Also someone wanted to use lilac, couldn't find it on the safe or unsafe list, I think they used it anyway. I wouldn't use anything unless I was sure it was safe for them, be careful not to put something in that has been sprayed with insecticide, they're incredibly sensitive to it.
