Justice and Bourbon are right on with their advice. Do lots of research and learn the downside along with all the pleasures. Unless you know someone who raises them and you know how they're kept, don't buy a cheep glider! It may be malnourished or uncared for. I'm saying that because I know first hand about untameables. Even though untameable, they are great pets, you just can't pick them up and put them in your pocket and play with them like you can a tame one. An untamed one can be a good cage buddy for your tame pet and won't make your pet mean. When I have joeys, I sell them for $125 boys and $150 girls, and that's cheep, but that's because I don't run a pet store and don't have pet store costs. For $15.00 I make a cage for the glider. I charge this because it takes specialized care to keep and raise them, to know their nature and needs. Also, I'm available around the clock for a new owner's follow up questions and concerns. I bought my first pair from a local pet store nearly 3 years ago, for $600.00 (Bullhead City, Arizona). Now this price has dropped to $200.00 each with a cage. I think $200 is a good price for a glider with a cage. This website has a link to Beverley's "Glider Gulch", she's got gliders I think they're $150 (check it out), if she doesn't have any available, she is in contact with other breeders and would be able to locate one for you if you email her personally. Thresa : I really want a sugar glider for a cheap price. Please help me.
