I agree with this statement but will take it a step further -
Females are harder to bond with, but once bonded will love you forever, more so than most (I said most, not all) males.
Males generally are extremely social and might be better for a family that wants to share their gliders with everyone.
Again, this is just my personal experience and what I have seen with the gliders that my friends own.
