: If I had a choice to hand feed or to get an older glider, what would be better? I have the time and the energy to hand feed.... but is it very difficult to do? I would like a glider very well bonded to me, so would it be worth it?
: thanks,

You should get a baby if you want it to really bond with you. By hand feeding they mean that you take it away from the mother as soon as its eyes are open and bottle feed it special milk such as Esbilac. Usually the breeders do this until they are eating on their own, it is not something the buyer does.
I have a good friend who is a breeder. I got my original Female from her four years ago and she was not bottle fed.She is the most tame glider I have seen. I have had two litters of babies with her and have let her raise them herself however I handled the babies from the time thier eyes opened so they would no humans. They turned out tame. I have a theory that the babies that are pulled so young may suffer because they are such social animals.
No matter what you get baby hand fed or not you MUST carry them around inside a pocket or between two shirts when you first get them. The more time you spend with them the more bonded they become. Don't let the crabbing noise scare youthey all do that when they are scared. -Good Luck
