My Griz always scratches then cleans his toes over and over right after he wakes up. It's scratch/clean/stretch...again and again until he's fully awake and ready for play. I've even noticed that our girl Lily does the same and will sometimes hold Griz done to clean the inside of his ears. It's love! Glider love and nibbles, Diana
