: hi.. : I've been debating wether or not I should get a sugar glider and I need some help. Currently I have two cats, a cockatiel and some fish. I don't like the fish cause they just sit there, I love my cats cause they are just so cuddly and I don't like my cockatiel cause he just pecks at stuff and doesn't like to cuddle or play. : I was just wondering a few things about sugar gliders: : ARe they going to be like my cockatiel and just sit there and not be very interesting or cuddly? : And are they going to be a real pain like my cockatiel when he goes to the wash room everywhere and really make you not want to take him out of the cage? : Thanx. Hi Craig,
I'm not an expert of gliders, though I do own one female since February and my fascination for them are much the same if not even more. As a rule of thumb, before obtaining any kind of pet all of us need to first look at the downside of owning a particular pet. After analyzing what you are willing to put up with, then the good aspects of owning the pet overshadows any downsides. I found a certaine home page to be very useful as an aid to finding out all the downsides of owning a sugar glider. Here, have a look at the site below: http://home.earthlink.net/~pehodges/warning.aspl Austin, TX glider, Xay
