:Sorry but I'm going to have to say that gliders are not for you. They really have many of the characteristics that you don't like about your other animals. They sleep all day and play at night so if your work doesn't allow for that or you can't take the time to be up around 9:30 to 2a.m. no good. You'll hardly see them at their clowniest. Yes like your cockatiel they GO where thay please and don't care where on you your upolstry even you best friend. They can be very sweet and affectionate but only after the bonding period which can take awhile depending on the idividual glider and a promise of sweetness doesn't always pan out even the younest ones are opinionated about who they like and not. I really hope that you would do you homework on gliders I've heard of tragedies where they were thought of as CUTE only to be abandoned because thay had personallity too. Rememeber gliders bond to one! person and it can be difficult for them to switch to someone else the older they get. Glider love and nibbles, Diana

Good post!
It is becoming way too common to hear about disappointed folks trying to find homes for their gliders.
Gliders can be alot of work, especially in the early bonding stage where everything is new and strange to both glider and owner.
Sugar Gliders are not for everyone.
Also, if you look to buy a glider and buy the cheapest one - chances are good the bonding will be much more difficult.
I think everyone should get to know the glider BEFORE purchasing.
