: I am a proud new mother of a baby sugarglider named Pavlov. I have a lot of questions. I would really appreciate it if someone could help me find the answers. : 1. What is the best food for his diet? How much a day? At what times? (pavlov loves grapes) : 2. What is his life expectancy? : 3. If I don't play with him for a day is that okay? : 4. Would it be better if I had a pair? : 5. Should I introduce Pavlov to my cat "35"? : 6. Is it possible to litter train him? : 7. What is the best covering for the bottom of his cage? : 8. Any suggestions on what types of toys he might like? : Any advice or information on him is very appreciated. I want a well adjusted happy pet! : Thanks Lisa 1. Fruits: Cherries (remove the pit, they are poisonous.) Grapes (seedless) Mango, Papaya, Pear, Pineapple, Raspberry, Apples, Applesauce (no preservatives, all natural) Apricots, Banana, Bluberry, Cantaloupe, Kiwi, Strawberry, Nectarines, Watermelon, Honey dew, Plum, Try 4 of these a night, chop them up in Sm. pieces. . Veggies: Potato (cooked) Tomato Sweet potatoes Asparagus, Broccoli, Cauliflower, Corn, Squash (no seeds), Carrot, Try 2 of these a night, chop up a few pieces of each and see which ones he likes. Also I give my glider a boiled egg once a week and a couple of pinenuts for a treat every day. 2. Life Expectancy: 10-15 Years 3. I have heard that you need to spend a minimum of 2 Hours a day with a glider that is kept by himself. 4. If you cannot spend the recommended amount of time with him you should get him a mate. 5.I would keep him away from the cat.(just my opinion) 6. I've heard of people using a kleenex to rub their bottom and they would go on the kleenex.I just let mine run in his cage for a few minutes when he wakes up ,he usually goes to the bathroom shortly after he wakes up. then i get him out to play. 7. I use Aspen Shavings. 8. I have a ladder that i hung up in his cage,he loves to swing on it. You will just have to experiment with different fruits and veggies to see what he likes and what he doesn't like. Like Xay said Lots of research and a good book will give you alot more Information. Good Luck with your New Baby.
