I just hang a hamster pouch from the top or side of my baby's cage and she loves it. It is washable and is lined with "fake" sheepskin, so bedding isn't necessary.

The Breeder(link below) that I got my babies from uses clay flower pots stuffed with hay and a hole drilled for a doorway.
