it depends on if mom trust you or not, If mom trusts you , yes by all means handle them as soon as you can, not necessarily when their eyes open. Gliders reconize people by smells, not necessarily sight. to handle them when their eyes are not open, and with mom there, and maybe dad too. the babies will learn you are okay..the smell will imprint .. it don't matter how old they are, It really depends on mom and dad. Also if mom and dad don't trust you yet, they may reject the babies, or show the babies you are a "unsafe" thing to be around..
