so after reading these posts, i have come to the following conclusion. you guys [or ladies] are doing something different than i am. i have raised since november and have had minor infestations [a few buzzing]. ALWAYS after checking the cage i found a bit of fruit or meat or milk or SOMETHING decomposing. after finding the offending item and cleaning the cage, i have no more fly's. i have been monitoring the cages closely and do not have any problems.
