: I know some people are against "American Express" gliders(never leave home without it), but I am curious as to who all has one, how long it took you to bond with it, If you use a leash, and also if anyone has carried the female with joeys in the pouch. Pookie is not 100% American Express glider.Actually, she is about 50% house pet and 50% tag along pet. There are several factors that depends if she gets to tag along. One is weather; sometimes it can be way too hot for her. Two is what kind of activity I will be doing. If I go Clubbing at night, then she definitely have to stay in because just imagine that loud music pounding on her sensitive little ears. So the bacic reasons for leaving her at home is SAFETY. Safety first, always. Some of the places that she has gone with me is Spring Break to Padre Island, Camping at Lake Travis, back to hometown Ft. Worth, restaurants, sometimes on campus when class are over, and on short errands that I have to make riding in my car. As for leashes, I don't use them at all. I don't have any experience with them and since I don't expose my glider in any real harm I don't feel the need for them. Bonding? She knows my scent, doesn't crab AT me, lets me pick her up when sleeping, sleeps in my hands, knows that I am home base, prefers me over a friend, runs after me if I put her on the floor and start moving away, and takes food from my hand. I'd say we have a good bond. But I really don't think the definition of bonding can stop there. The bonding will only get stronger with time. As you may know that I have come a long way from the first day I got her, which was on Feb. 28, 98. Boy that was a rough two weeks.
