I think you should get another one.It was unfortunate that yours died.You know I have small bungee cords on my cage, because I have a fear of mine getting out with my two cats. You might want to put something like that on your cage.Although my cats pretty much ignore my gliders, I have a piece of mind going to bed knowing that my cage is secure and no one can get in or out.Good luck.
