HI,
I haven't posted on SugarGlider.com for a while now. Nice to see some names that I reconize are still occasionally posting. :) Anyway, I have a question that I somehat needs answering. Presently I am in the Caribbean and I am heading back to Edmonton forst week Aug. PICO, is coming with me as I couldn't bear to part with my "pocket pal" (and he doesn't really like anyone but me, but as if I would leave him!) Anyhow, I need to know how you travel with a Sugar Glider. I know that they say that plane travel is really awful for your glider but I don't think that is the case. Pico came by air (from Dallas to Anguilla) and had no problems and is a healthy and happy glider. I want to take him on as carry on, because I do not really trust cargo and he 'is' a really small animal to begin with. Has anyone done this before? I was actually oing to just bring him sleeping in my pocket, but that isn't a safe venture incase I get in trouble and then that would leave Pico in a bad situation. I know I have to get vet papers...and there is no fear of rabies or any disease from this island (they are as strick about animals as Canada). But I am wondering what to expect...and even if he will be quarenteed when I reach Edmonton. I am hoping not. Any advise or travel stories are welcomed! :0) Please email me privatly though if that is possible...my email address is pagedgar@hotmail.com I would really like to hear form you!
Good Life and Happy Glidering!!!
