: Yes! Betsycc is right. My glider, Pookie, would rather happily sit on my shoulder rather than confined to my hands. I really feel that the nature of sugargliders are like that of cats. They are very independent and wants to be in control of whats going on around them. They want do go where ever and when ever they want. This may make them more secure about their surroundings. However, I think every gliders are different. Another thing about my glider is that she will comfortably curl up and sleep in my hand with a little coaxing. And any sudden movement or noise will cause her to jump onto my shoulder.
